Motorcycle Towing Seattle — Flatbed Bike Transport, 24/7
Motorcycle Towing Service in Seattle
How We Tow a Motorcycle Without Damaging It
A Block Towing provides motorcycle towing in Seattle from our yard at 2918 1st Ave S in SoDo, 24 hours a day. Every bike travels on a flatbed, never on a wheel-lift, strapped at the handlebars and frame with soft loops and held upright in a wheel chock. No fork damage, no scratched fairings, no chain or belt stress.
Most Seattle motorcycle calls are reached in under 30 minutes — Downtown, Capitol Hill, Georgetown and Beacon Hill in 10 to 20. We tow sport bikes, cruisers, touring bikes, adventure bikes, scooters, mopeds and trikes, running or not. Call (206) 602-7416 for a flat price quoted before we roll.
A motorcycle is not a small car. Towed wrong, it costs more to fix than the breakdown did. Here is exactly how we load a bike:
- Flatbed only. The bed tilts to the ground and the bike is walked or winched up the ramp — never dragged, never lifted by a wheel
- Wheel chock. The front wheel locks into a chock so the bike stands on its own before a single strap goes on
- Soft-loop straps. Four-point tie-down through the lower triple clamp and the rear subframe or passenger pegs — soft loops, not bare ratchet hooks, so paint and anodising stay untouched
- Suspension compressed, not bottomed. Straps are tensioned to about a third of fork travel so the bike cannot bounce, without blowing a fork seal
- Side stand up, in gear, key with you. We photograph the bike before loading and again at drop-off
Fairings, saddlebags, top boxes and windscreens are checked before the straps go on. If a bike has a damaged frame or bent forks from a crash, we load it on a dolly or skid instead of forcing it upright.
Motorcycle Towing Anywhere in Seattle, Any Hour
We tow motorcycles from every part of the city:
- Freeways and bridges: I-5, I-90, SR-99, SR-520, SR-509, the West Seattle Bridge, the Ballard Bridge and the Aurora Bridge — we stage behind the barrier and load fast
- Riding roads: Alki Ave, Lake Washington Blvd, Golden Gardens, Magnolia Blvd, the Arboretum, Beach Drive SW
- Downtown and garages: low clearance parking structures on Pike, Pine, 2nd and 4th where a full-size flatbed cannot enter — our low clearance truck can
- Neighborhoods: Capitol Hill, Ballard, Fremont, Wallingford, Queen Anne, Georgetown, Beacon Hill, Columbia City, Rainier Valley, West Seattle, Northgate, Lake City
- Dealers and shops: we deliver to Seattle Cycle Center, Ducati Seattle, Triumph of Seattle, Aurora Suzuki, Downtown Harley-Davidson, Moto International, Cycle Barn and any independent shop you name
What to tell us when you call so the right truck leaves first time:
- Make, model and rough weight — a 400 lb Ninja and an 900 lb Road Glide are loaded differently
- Does it roll and steer? A seized rear wheel, bent forks or a locked steering head means we bring a skid or dolly
- Is it a crash? Tell us if fluids are leaking or the bike is on its side — we bring absorbent and a lift bar
- Where it is going — your garage, a dealer, an insurance yard, or long distance anywhere in Washington at a flat rate
- Cross streets or a pin — on Lake Washington Blvd or Alki a street number is not always visible
We quote the complete price on the phone. No mileage meter, no night or weekend surcharge, no extra for a non-running bike.
Motorcycle Breakdown, Crash or Flat? We Handle All Three
Why Riders in Seattle Call A Block Towing
Breakdown: dead battery, chain failure, electrical fault, fuel pump — we load it and take it to the shop you choose, or to your garage if you would rather fix it yourself.
Crash: after a collision on I-5 or a low-side on a wet Seattle corner, we secure the bike, photograph the damage for your insurer, sweep the debris and clear the lane. We work alongside Seattle PD and WSDOT Incident Response when they are on scene. Lane-splitting is not legal in Washington, so most of our crash calls are rear-end or left-turn collisions — we know how those bikes are damaged and how to load them.
Flat tire: a plugged tubeless tire is a roadside fix on some bikes; a tube-type or sidewall puncture is a tow. Either way we get you and the bike off the shoulder.
Locked up: lost key, dead fob, steering lock stuck — we can load a bike with the front wheel locked using a dolly.
A Block Towing has moved motorcycles across Seattle for over 15 years. Our drivers ride, so they know why a Ducati Panigale needs its belly pan protected and why a Harley bagger has to be strapped through the frame, not the saddlebag guards.
- 24/7 dispatch from inside Seattle, not the suburbs
- Flatbed, wheel chock and soft-loop straps on every bike
- Licensed, insured, and the bike is covered in transit — certificate on request

FAQ
It depends on distance and whether the bike rolls. We quote one flat price on the phone before dispatching. There is no surcharge for nights, weekends or a non-running motorcycle, and no per-mile meter.
Always. A motorcycle is walked or winched onto a tilting flatbed, locked into a wheel chock and strapped with soft loops. We never tow a bike with a wheel-lift or on its own wheels.
Yes. A seized wheel, bent forks or a locked steering head is loaded on a dolly or skid. Tell us on the phone so the driver brings the right gear.
No. We use soft-loop straps through the triple clamp and rear subframe, tensioned to about a third of fork travel. Bare ratchet hooks never touch the bike, and we photograph it before and after loading.
Usually under 30 minutes. Our yard is at 2918 1st Ave S in SoDo, so Downtown, Capitol Hill, Georgetown and Beacon Hill are 10 to 20 minutes; Ballard, West Seattle and Northgate are typically 20 to 30.
Yes. We deliver to any shop or dealer in Seattle and the Eastside, to your garage, or to an insurance yard. Long distance transport anywhere in Washington is quoted at a flat rate.
Yes. Scooters and mopeds are chocked and strapped the same way as a motorcycle. Trikes and sidecar rigs go on the flatbed with four-point tie-downs.
Get off the roadway and behind a barrier if you can, call 911 if anyone is hurt, then call us. We secure the bike, document the damage for your insurer and coordinate with Seattle PD or WSDOT if they are on scene.
